Barbie First Repaint

I had to start this, so yesterday evening, I took a barbie-like doll I bought very cheap and whiped her make up off.

Then with Volks pastels (see Fil :)), watercolor and a 10/0 pencil, I took some fun to make her eyes back and a nice Chanel French Manucure.

Be care, as it was the first, I made her a very basic make up just to see how I worked it out.

So here is the result.

Taking pictures wasn't really simple.

And the hands...

The thumb is really done, but the flash of my camera erased the color.

Matthew - Meeting

Matthew is walking for days, near a lake he have stolen a few clothes and a pair of boots, and after a long run in the land, he finally reached a road and followed it for a while.

After a moment, he hesitate at a crossroad.

Surprised, he seemed to hear two voices in the far away. And suddenly, he founds out two strange beings in the far who talk.

The two strange beings seemed not to see him so he waves at them.

In the far, they seemed to have seen him and answered.

Matthew can't believe his eyes, he runs to her. When he arrived to her, he have a jump of surprise, the smallest one seems also to be surprised and happy at the same time. Sh jumps in his arms.

Matthew : " Bastet ? but... but what are you doing here ?"
Bastet : " I've run away from the realm at Morpheu's death, I couldn't stay, I miss him so much and Daniel left me the choice, and it seems to me that a lot of ancients friends of him have left Daniel's castle too."
Matthew : " Yes, I choosed to leave too, I thought I could stay as a crow, but I woke up with a human body and... those white hairs."

The blue hair girl who watched the old friends talking to each other, jumps off the log where she was seating and talks to Matthew.

Nuala : " Don't you remember me ?"
She saddly asked to Matthew who spets back surprised.
Matthew : " No, I don't think so, your face seems familiar but I don't think so."

Nuala hesistates and then explain.

Nuala : " I am Nuala, you remember now ? Nuala, the gift from Titania to Morpheus, I stayed too long in his shadow, I loved him so much, his death... well... "
She starts to whip.
Nuala : " His death shook me, and Daniel freed me, but I couldn't dare to return to Titania, I don't belong to this realm of glamour."

Matthew smiles and comes closer to her, to beg her pardon for his poor memory.

Matthew : " I didn't recognize you Nuala, I'm so sorry, I would so much to explain what is happening to me, you understand, I was a crow, and now I'm a man with white hair. I thought I was alone and I find you both, you the two woman my master cherrished the most."

Nice postcards

I'm participating with Neil Gaiman's board to a postcard circle.

How to is simple, you get in with your postal address and then you recieve the list of the people who's in and then you send your postcard once a month to someone.

I never do things like everybody, so I created two little nice postcards.

Here they are :

The first one is a collage of dry flowers and butterflies wings (i didn't kill them, I found them in my attic, already dead..) then i add some resin to hold everything. It's been made on a linen card siezd 10x15 cm.

The second one is a collage like scrapbooking, made with little paper cuts and acrylic paints. Like the other one I add some resin and the size and medium are the same.

They were made in september 2007 and posted last month, they reached their owners so I can post them.

New outfits for Sarah (OOAK)

I did some little sewing today.

Two new outfits for Sarah (Barbie Fashion Fever Raquelle).
The first one "Lys" is a two part outfits : a top and a little skirt. The skirt is close by a dreadnought on the back. I designed all of it and sew it by hand.

The second one "Lila" is a night dress I sewed over with gold and real Swarovski cristal beads. I add a little golden belt. I spent nrealy 3 hours designind and creating this little dress, but really had a lot of fun.

The two outfits will be added to the shop in a few days. But they will be remade for the buyers, I keep my prototypes.

Shoes, bags and jewels are not for sale.

Matthew - Revelation

This morning Matthew is a little different, he put his hands on his head and feels hairs, when he holds them, a little surprised, he can't help himself asking how they could have grown that fast.

Silver long hair ? So soft and so beautiful Matthew can't help himself thinking about that magnificent woman he knew in his former human life.

May it be a bad dream.

Matthew - Rebirth

The night fades away slowly, his body shakes, the morning's cold and the caress of tide make him shake.
His eyes can't get open, he can't feel his body, he can only hear his heart beating.
A few birds are singing, welcoming the new day.
What is he doing here ?

The grass is soft, a far away memory comes back to him. One of an other world, an other time, too swift, he already forget. The noise of feathers over him, he seems to remember a world full of birds, ravens.
Already, his less hard muscles answer to his foggy brain.

He tries to get up, his arms are weak. The echos of a past life come back to him. He sees a man, a god, tall, dark, laid on a linen, darker than the night itself and the crowd that follows him. Then the other, the one who replaced him, his face and hair as white as snow.
The day comes and he tries again to get on his feet.

He doesn't understand what he's doing here, naked on the grass, the moment before, he was in a huge palace, with a family in front of a tomb mourning a beloved one. The light blinds him.

He moves forward hardly on his weak legs. As he goes, his memory comes back by fragments. He knows, he sees the room of the castle, in a mirror, a raven is watching him, it's him. He is the raven, and all his memories come back as a tsunami. He live his last moment again, he choose he had been offered.

Yes, he is human again, flesh and blood, he can breath, he is mortal again, a simple mortal. His name comes back too, he's Matthew. The world around him, he haven't seen it for so many times, maybe a hundred years, he doesn't really know. But today, he's back on Earth. He would like to scream his joy, but his vocal cords can't vibrate.

In this wild nature, thos high grass, those flowers, he finds back the souvenir of a woman and her friend, he would like to cry, but tears can't come either.
He have been given a new chance, he will have to find this girl again... or maybe she's dead ? This simple idea hurts his heart.

He watches the flowers, thinks of her and at the end moves forward in the field. He will eventually find his way in this new life.

Well, for the moment, he'll have to find clothes and shoes.

Season's fairies !!

This week end, i had a little time for me and the weather was on my side, sunny and warm (I tanned a little ... great !!!) so I get the tools outside, put a little t-shirt and go creating !!!

Saturday i decided first to create shapes in clay to hold my Fimo's creations while making and cooking.That's what you saw in grey in the picture under the chest. It's impossible to make the shapes in Fimo Soft, it's too soft and it would be a waste of it.

I first put the shape and mold a body.

Then I had an idea of a Spring Fairy, with a dress like a flower upside down.

3/4 front view, I love this kind of shapes Fimo can take like real fabric sometimes.

From the back, nice dress...

From right side view, I know she got a very generous chest.

After the making of the second skirt, corset, harms and head. At the back my little Christmas Fairy watches over, maybe a little jealous of the nice "froufrou" dress.

With the red hair, guess why, and a slightly thinking pose, I realized after cooking that whe had a very round belly, the little one had hidden me she was pregnant, but nothing very surprising for a Spring Fairy anyway.
Soon more news, and the Christmas Fairy gets annoyed in her corner and show her blue wings.

And there comes the one I did on sunday.

From the same idea I told myself : a spring fairy, why not a Summer one.
I'm not fully satisfied with her, actually, she is way to small compare to the size of her head and harms, i'll probably add an other wkirt under the first one to make her taller.

From front, always this effect of fabric I love, this time the theme for the dress was green leeves and flowers on them.

One more :

So... she's pretty anyway, i just have to paint the face.

My little fairy in Fimo

I did this little fairy for my mother for Christmas and then I forgot to pack her and finally to offer the gift... shame on me. But it's not bad, it makes you enjoy it and mre than everything, it will help me make an other one.

She's made in Fimo past, she got blue wings and little ears coming out of her pointed hat and ... i guess the pictures are better than words :

So it is, there's a lot of things to change on her, maybe brush the wings with a little gold... i'm thinking.

I always work on instinct, i never do things on emergency. it's when the fabric or matter is in my hand that ideas come. Right now, I'm into sexing, tomorrow... who knows.

And to end today, where she stays at home, in the chimney, posed on a candle holder.

A belt for my Obitsu Boy

I had to start to make stuffs for him, after had a few nasty experiences with fur wigs ... i will have to correct soon.

Here is the first succesfull try for a belt.

The fabric is just put on the doll not to picture him naked.

I will probably sell the belt on Ebay, but right now I don't really know how much, the buccle coasts me a lot and I only have one.
